Marvel has unveiled the main cast for its upcoming X-Men film, with Sadie Sink, Kit Connor, Christopher Abbott, Samara Weaving, Inde Navarrette, Maya Boyd and Adam Driver joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The cast was revealed by Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige during Disney's D23 showcase in August. Sink will play Jean Grey, while Connor will portray Scott Summers, also known as Cyclops.

Abbott will play Professor Charles Xavier, with Weaving as Emma Frost, Navarrette as Rogue and Boyd as Storm. Driver will play the villain Nathaniel Milbury, better known as Mr. Sinister.

**A new era**

The film will be directed by Jake Schreier, who previously helmed Marvel's Thunderbolts\*, with the project set to introduce a new version of the mutant team within the MCU.

Marvel has confirmed that the film will arrive exclusively in cinemas on May 5, 2028\. The studio has also said that more casting announcements are expected, meaning the D23 lineup is not necessarily the complete roster of mutants appearing in the film.

The casting gives Marvel a new generation of X-Men characters, following Fox's previous X-Men film series and the team's appearances across multiple films since 2000.
