Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter in Captain America: The First Avenger

It would appear that MCU fan favorite will be trading a super soldier for a super spy in the as-yet-untitled Mission Impossible 7.

Hayley Atwell, best known to CBM fans as the unforgettable Peggy Carter in the MCUs ***Captain America*** movies and the spin-off tv series ***Agent Carter***, seemed to indicate that she will be a part of the next installment of the Tom Cruise action franchise.

In a [post](https://www.instagram.com/p/B2Fl%5FJOA%5FbZ?ref=thenaijanerds.com) on Instagram, director Chris McQuarrie revealed her involvement by posting a photo of Hayley with the caption "Should you choose to accept..."

Franchise star Tom Cruise also chimed in with a comment on McQuarrie's post welcoming her to the Mission Impossible team. Hayley Atwell's response? A nine-post mural composite image with the caption, "Mission: Accepted. Though I’m not the sort to follow orders..."

Among the celebrities who expressed their approval was British-Nigerian actor David Oyelowo who first worked with Hayley during her theater debut in [*Prometheus Bound*](https://www.standard.co.uk/go/london/theatre/a-chain-reaction-7385568.html?ref=thenaijanerds.com) in which she played Io to his Prometheus.

Judging by the popular responses from other celebrities and fans to the original post, it would seem that after her badass role in the *Captain America* movies and her own TV show fans are ready to see Hayley Atwell take on the impossible.
